Football Recap: Marshfield Skates Past Crescent Valley with Ease

With a playoff win on the line, Marshfield rose to the challenge on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 49-14 win over the Crescent Valley Raiders. Considering the Pirates have won eight contests by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Enoch Niblett had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 211 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 61 yards and one TD. Jaden Tice also helped with two scores in total.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Marshfield's defense and their four sacks. Fox Wheatley refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.

Marshfield's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.6 points over those games. As for Crescent Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

As of now, neither Marshfield nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
