The Astoria/VIT Rebels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 41-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Macomb. Astoria/VIT has struggled against Macomb recently, as their game on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was KATE STAMBAUGH, who scored seven points along with two steals. DIXIE CHENOWITH was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Astoria/VIT's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-18. As for Macomb, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-11.
Astoria/VIT will head out on the road to face off against Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Macomb, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Farmington at 7:30 p.m. Farmington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
