The Tooele Buffaloes will face off against the Grantsville Cowboys at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tooele will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Having struggled with eight defeats in a row dating back to last season, Tooele turned things around against Green Canyon on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Wolves as they made off with a 17-6 victory. With that win, the Buffaloes brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Reeder Conger was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Higgins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI.
Tooele always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Grantsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-1 to Pine View. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cowboys have suffered since April 4, 2024.
Krue Warren made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.
Grantsville's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Tooele, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Tooele's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. Tooele has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Grantsville, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Tooele continue to outrun the ball?
Tooele came out on top in a nail-biter against Grantsville in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, sneaking past 4-3. Will Tooele repeat their success, or does Grantsville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
