Football Recap: Rialto Piles Up the Points Against Indio

After losing to Indio the last time they met, Rialto decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Rajahs 43-12. The Knights pushed the score to 43-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rajahs cut but never quite recovered from.

Rialto got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexander Quezada out in front who picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those 108 receiving yards gave Quezada a new career-high. Markell Carroll handled things on the ground, rushing for 86 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Rialto was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 250 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 250 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Rialto's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Indio, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Rialto will host Pomona at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Indio, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Western Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
