After a string of three wins, South Plainfield's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to the Old Bridge Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since September 28, 2024.

While South Plainfield was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Old Bridge's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-7, 25-13.

South Plainfield's offense was headlined by Cassandra Penny and Cindy Loloan, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Emily Tran and her three assists. Finally, Kyara Knight kept South Plainfield's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

South Plainfield's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Old Bridge, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
