Rosman has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Mountain Heritage Cougars at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Rosman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Rosman suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 68-46 loss at the hands of Avery County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Rosman has suffered against Avery County since December 14, 2021.
Despite the defeat, Rosman had strong showings from Kaesyn Mccoy, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds, and Mason Meece, who scored 12 points along with two steals. That was a full 50% of Rosman's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Mountain Heritage had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They came out on top against NCSSM: Morganton by a score of 62-52.
Rosman's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Mountain Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Rosman took a serious blow against Mountain Heritage in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 68-27. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Rosman was down 43-9.
