SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The defense contributed on the scoring end for
Reagan (San Antonio, Texas) on Saturday, totaling 18 points as the Rattlers bested Lee (San Antonio, Texas) 58-7.
After taking the lead on a Freedom Salas touchdown pass to Chris Adams in the first quarter, the Rattlers led 45-6 at the half.
Reagan grew its lead to 46 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS scored once in the quarter on a defensive touchdown.
A big 38-point second quarter helped the Rattlers secure the win. Reagan scored on a touchdown run by
Ty Summers, a defensive touchdown, a touchdown pass by Summers, a defensive touchdown and a touchdown pass by Summers in the quarter.
Lee's lone touchdown came on a 3-yard pass from Salas to Adams in the first quarter.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 47-7 win for RHS.
In a 5A Region IV District 26 game next week Reagan (5-0) takes on Madison, and Lee (3-3) will go up against Madison also in a 5A Region IV District 26 game.
