Del Norte won the last time they faced Rancho Bernardo and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Nighthawks narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Broncos 6-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Nighthawks, who have now won four matches in a row.
Brooklyn Giaime made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February of 2024.
In other batting news, Carissa Camaclang was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Hanna Himelstein also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
