Buffalo's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren White, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which White has scored at least 25% of Buffalo's points. Another player making a difference was Alivia Luikart, who scored 10 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds.
Kendal Connolly and Katelynn Martin certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Connolly scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 blocks, while Martin scored 0 points along with 5 rebounds. Connolly scored a full 29.2% of Point Pleasant's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Buffalo back to even at 1-1. As for Point Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo will take on Sherman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Point Pleasant, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Scott at 7:00 p.m.
