The Fowler Grizzlies won the last time they faced the Swallows Charter Academy Spartans, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Fowler blew past Swallows Charter Academy 54-29. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fowler.
Leading Fowler to victory were Harrison Proctor and Gage Gottbehuet. Proctor scored 12 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds, while Gottbehuet dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hagen McCuistion, who scored 4 points.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Breedlove, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. Breedlove scored a full 58.6% of Swallows Charter Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Adam Weitzke was another key contributor, scoring 3 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 blocks.
Fowler's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fowler will square off against Colorado Springs Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Holly at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Holly focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
