Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Ash Fork walked away with it. They took their  game  on Thursday with ease, bagging  a  54-14 victory over the Grand Canyon Phantoms. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13  contests by 22  points or more this season.
It was another big night for  Isabella Acosta, who  dropped  a double-double with 17 points and 13  steals. Ash Fork is 15-4 when  Acosta posts five or  more  steals, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Crystal Nixon, who  posted seven  points in addition to nine  rebounds and seven  steals.
 Ash Fork  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 27  offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grand Canyon only six  offensive rebounds.
Ash Fork is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record  this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.7 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Grand Canyon and  nudges their season record down to 10-13.
 Ash Fork wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  38-33  loss against Salome on the 17th. Grand Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
