The Mogollon Mustangs will face off against the St. David Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mogollon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Mogollon took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Baboquivari. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.

Rocky Porter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Mogollon got a massive performance out of Yoyo Suarez, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave Suarez a new career-high. Slade Reynolds was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Mogollon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, St. David sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over Anthem Prep on Saturday.
Chase Pacheco was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. St. David is undefeated when Pacheco posts two or more runs, but 6-8-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Brogan, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
St. David's victory bumped their record up to 12-8-1. As for Mogollon, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Mogollon has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. However, it's not like St. David struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mogollon beat St. David 8-4 when the teams last played back in March. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
