The North Star Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 11th straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 72-35 loss at the hands of Melba. North Star has struggled against Melba recently, as their game on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, North Star still got an impressive performance from Milt Pettit, who scored four points along with ten rebounds. Nico Garcia was another key contributor, scoring four points.
North Star dropped their record down to 1-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.2 points per game. As for Melba, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
North Star's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Marsing at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Marsing is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Melba, they will head out on the road to face off against The Ambrose School at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (The Ambrose School is ranked 14th, while Melba is ranked 28th).
