Simley is 9-1 against Hill-Murray since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Simley Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Hill-Murray Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. Simley has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 13.
Simley suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. Their tough 54-28 loss to St. Thomas Academy might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Simley has scored all season.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Hill-Murray, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-50 loss to North on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hill-Murray in their matchups with North: they've now lost six in a row.
Simley bumped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Hill-Murray, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Simley against Hill-Murray in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 76-46 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Simley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
