The Northwest Area Rangers will venture away from home to challenge the Muncy Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Northwest Area's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
Northwest Area will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Bucktail, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Rangers put the hurt on the Bucks with a sharp 11-1 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jenna Robaczewski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ava Ruckle was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Abygail Miller, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.
Northwest Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Muncy scored first but ultimately less than Sullivan County in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 5-4. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Griffins since on Thursday.
Muncy also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Chevelle Bauman gave up just two earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, Taylor Shannon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.
Northwest Area pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Muncy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Muncy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northwest Area hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .454. It's a different story for Muncy, though, as they've only averaged .229. Will they be able to contain Northwest Area's hitters?
Northwest Area might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Muncy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Rangers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
