Despite the loss, St. Paul had strong showings from Gracie Kelley, who scored 18 points, and Katlyn Oakley, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
St. Paul struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Boone Central, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
St. Paul and Beatrice will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Beatrice is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Boone Central will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Adams Central at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Adams Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Boone Central in Nebraska (Adams Central is ranked 24th, while Boone Central is ranked 169th).
