It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Vasquez can now relate to. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Katella Knights on Saturday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Daniella Escamilla made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sadie Mendoza, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Vasquez's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Katella, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-13.

Vasquez does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Katella, they will square off against Rio Hondo Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
