Having just played yesterday, the Dunbar Poets will get right back to it and host the Kenwood Bluebirds at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dunbar has three straight victories, Kenwood has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Dunbar got the win against Aberdeen by a conclusive 74-48.
Meanwhile, Kenwood pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 71-63 to New Hope Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Wednesday (59), Kenwood still had to take the loss.
Dunbar pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Kenwood, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-7 record last season and are now at 0-7.
Dunbar beat Kenwood 63-56 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Will Dunbar repeat their success, or does Kenwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
