The Hun Raiders fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Life Center Academy Warriors on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Warriors 71-67. Hun can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their three games.
It was another big night for Elijah Brown, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds for Life Center Academy. The contest was Brown's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mekhi Robertson, who scored 14 points.
Hun's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Life Center Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hun will take on Malvern Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Malvern Prep is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Life Center Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Roselle Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on December 15th.
