The Classical Academy won the last time they faced Sand Creek and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Titans put the hurt on the Scorpions with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for The Classical Academy, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Sand Creek from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Demitra McClure led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

The win (which was The Classical Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matches. As for Sand Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Classical Academy will take on Evergreen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Classical Academy's defense better be ready for this one: Evergreen have averaged an impressive 4.1 goals per game this season. As for Sand Creek, they will face off against Pueblo South at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sand Creek will be up against Pueblo South's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.54 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
