The Brunswick Blue Devils will face off against the Midview Middies at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Brunswick is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7  runs per game  this season.
Brunswick took a ten-run  loss the last time they faced off against Avon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles on Friday, sneaking past  8-6. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Blue Devils.

 Jackson Briggs looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Connor Adams, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cole Rauscher, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run.
Meanwhile, Midview made easy work of Lorain  on Thursday and carried off  a  13-3 victory. The Middies haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.
 Camden Scott made a splash no matter where he played. He  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He is becoming a predictor of Midview's success: when he allows at  most one  hit the team is 2-1 (and 6-12 when he doesn't). Scott was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.
 In other pitching news,  Henry Calcut looked comfortable as he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because Midview is 2-1 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 6-12 otherwise.
 Back at the plate,  Kaiden Vogelpohl was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI. He has become a key player for Midview: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 4-13 otherwise.  Benjamin Szczepanski was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI.
 Brunswick pushed their record up to 12-7 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Midview, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.
Midview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Brunswick has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .462. It's a different story for Midview, though, as  they've  only  averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Brunswick's hitters?
 Brunswick took their  win against Midview  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2015 by a conclusive  12-6 score. Do  the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Middies turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
