The Brunswick Blue Devils will face off against the Midview Middies at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brunswick is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Brunswick took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Avon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles on Friday, sneaking past 8-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Jackson Briggs looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Adams, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Rauscher, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Midview made easy work of Lorain on Thursday and carried off a 13-3 victory. The Middies haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Camden Scott made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Midview's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 6-12 when he doesn't). Scott was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Henry Calcut looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Midview is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 6-12 otherwise.
Back at the plate, Kaiden Vogelpohl was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Midview: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-13 otherwise. Benjamin Szczepanski was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Brunswick pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Midview, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.
Midview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Brunswick has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. It's a different story for Midview, though, as they've only averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Brunswick's hitters?
Brunswick took their win against Midview in their previous matchup back in May of 2015 by a conclusive 12-6 score. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Middies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
