Brandeis hasn't had much luck against Madison recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Broncos will challenge the Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. Brandeis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Brandeis was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Clark 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Broncos considering their two-run performance the game before.

Peyton Miers was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Renner Koloch, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Brandeis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Madison's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Johnson on Tuesday. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brandeis' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-12. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Brandeis might still be hurting after the 17-2 defeat they got from Madison in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Broncos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
