It was a good run, but the Coventry Oakers unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 62-53 to Cranston West. Coventry was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Coventry still got an impressive performance from Tyler Broady, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Logan Moore, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Coventry's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for Cranston West, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5.
Coventry will challenge the Islanders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Rhode Island (Middletown is ranked 31st, while the Oakers are ranked 24th). As for Cranston West, they and the Huskies will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
