The Lake Norman Charter Knights pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-59 to Concord. Lake Norman Charter has not had much luck with the Spiders recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Braden Wilkie and Braylon Irelan certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Wilkie scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Irelan scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Mcconneyhead, who scored seven points along with six steals.
Jeremiah Howard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Concord, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kyzen Coleman, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Lake Norman Charter's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Concord, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Norman Charter will square off against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Concord's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. West Rowan is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
