The Moody Bearcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 37-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Meyer. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Moody of the 23-20 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Meyer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shelby Starr, who scored 13 points. Skylar Hicks was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Moody dropped their record down to 4-19 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.6 points per game. As for Meyer, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moody has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Meyer will take on the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
