The Slidell Tigers had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They really took it to Tara for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-45 victory at home. Slidell has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.
Jaden Hookfin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerry Birdlow, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Slidell's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Tara, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
Slidell will head out on the road to face off against St. Paul's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tara, they will be playing at home against South Plaquemines at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
