Baseball Recap: St. Andrew's Episcopal Has No Trouble Against Mcgill-Toolen

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Escambia, St. Andrew's Episcopal was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets as the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints made off with a 14-3 win. That looming 14-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Saints yet this season.

Cash Myrick was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. St. Andrew's Episcopal is undefeated when Myrick posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Marco Leflore, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

St. Andrew's Episcopal has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. McGill-Toolen's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Looking ahead, St. Andrew's Episcopal will head out to face off against St. Joseph Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McGill-Toolen, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Davidson at 6:30 p.m. McGill-Toolen is facing Davidson at the right time seeing as Davidson is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
