Baseball Recap: St. Joseph's Prep Has No Trouble Against Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic

St. Joseph's Prep lost to Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Hawks put the hurt on the Friars/Pandas with a sharp 10-3 victory. Ten seems to be a good number for the Hawks as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Robby Grasso was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. He is becoming a predictor of St. Joseph's Prep's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 3-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Vezza, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

St. Joseph's Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.
