Powers had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They steamrollered Jewell 44-6. This was the first game for both teams, giving Powers a 1-0 record and starting Jewell off at 0-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Powers will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Gilchrist. Jewell will stay at home against McKenzie at 5:00 PM.
