Salem Academy will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Yamhill-Carlton at 7:00 PM. The teams both have set a high bar for this game after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.
Salem Academy were able to grind out a solid victory over Blanchet Catholic last Friday, winning 35-21. Senior Cole Hardy was the offensive standout of the match for Salem Academy, as he passed for 305 yards and 3 touchdowns. Hardy has been a consistent playmaker for Salem Academy as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing zero points in their last matchup, Yamhill-Carlton made sure to put some points up on the board against Corbett. Yamhill-Carlton blew past Corbett 38-6. The rankings were on Yamhill-Carlton's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.
