Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midlothian). They were the clear victors by a 31-3 margin over the Terrell Tigers on Tuesday. Abby Insley looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Midlothian let Maddie Copeland and Addison Prescott run wild. Copeland went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base, while Prescott went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave Prescott a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrie Tovar, who scored five runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Midlothian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Terrell only managed seven hits.
