Volleyball Recap: Celebration Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Thiago Amorim and Davi Jardim

After flying high against Forest last Friday, Celebration came back down to earth. Celebration lost 3-0 to the Poinciana Christian Preparatory Eagles on Monday.

While Celebration ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Celebration had strong showings from Davi Jardim, who had 13 digs, and Thiago Amorim, who had eight kills, seven digs, and three aces. Those three aces gave Amorim a new career-high.

Celebration's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Poinciana Christian Preparatory, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Coming up, Celebration is taking a road trip to square off against Ridge Community at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Celebration is facing Ridge Community at the right time seeing as Ridge Community is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Poinciana Christian Preparatory, they will head out to challenge Forest Lake Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
