The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mercer Island in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the defeat, Mercer Island had strong showings from Nick Mautone, who scored 14 points, and Syver Lanctot, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lanctot has scored all season.
Mercer Island's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Bellevue, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mercer Island will take on the Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
