The Lewistown Indians lost against the Brimfield Indians back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lewistown fell 57-50 to Brimfield. Lewistown has struggled against Brimfield recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joley McLaughlin, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Johnson, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Lewistown's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Brimfield, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewistown will square off against Mendon Unity at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brimfield, they will head out on the road to challenge Havana at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Havana is on a six-game streak of home wins, Brimfield a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
