Downriver recap September 4, 2013
Truman's Devonte McGregor rumbled for the longest rushing play in Downriver this season in his game against Woodhaven last week. McGregor ran for 70 yards on the play and finished with 185 on the day as his team defeated the Warriors.
Donovan Stewart and D'Aries Davis provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Trenton. The connection went for 75 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Alex Rahming was the best receiver in the league this week as Carlson bested Kennedy. Rahming racked up 3 receptions for 90 yards.
Stewart put up the best numbers in passing as Roosevelt beat the Trojans. He finished with 5 completions for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns. Stewart's favorite target this week was Brandon Sowards, who caught 5 passes for 85 yards.
McGregor was the best running back in Downriver this week. D'ante Barrow also contributed to the rushing game with 88 yards on the ground.
McGregor provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Truman topped Woodhaven.
