The Cactus Cobras can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Goldwater 79-37 at home. Winning may never get old, but Cactus sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Bradey Henige continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 33 points, 20 rebounds, and ten blocks. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Cactus' points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Hutton, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Goldwater's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Marcus Williams, who scored nine points along with two steals, and Demarion Trask who scored 14 points.
Cactus pushed their record up to 20-3 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.2 points per game. As for Goldwater, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-20.
Cactus will head out on the road to square off against Thunderbird at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cactus has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,195 points over their last 17 contests. Goldwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
