Sterling Classical is 0-10 against Grace Academy since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Sterling Classical Soldiers will head out on the road to face off against Grace Academy at 6:30 p.m. Sterling Classical is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Sterling Classical came up short against Providence Prep and fell 64-52.
Meanwhile, Grace Academy pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 77-55 walloping at the hands of Founders Classical Academy. Grace Academy has struggled against Founders Classical Academy recently, as their match on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Canyon Maxwell, who scored 23 points along with three steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Richmond McIver was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Sterling Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Grace Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Sterling Classical couldn't quite finish off Grace Academy in their previous meeting on January 5th and fell 35-32. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of McIver, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Now that Sterling Classical knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
