Doddridge County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Payton Trent out in front who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Trent has scored at least 25% of Doddridge County's points. Aleigh Cheeseman was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five steals and three blocks.
Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Doddridge County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Calhoun will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Webster County at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Doddridge County, they will head out on the road to face off against Clay-Battelle at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
