Everything went their way against the Ridge Community Bolts on Thursday as the Davenport Broncos made off with an 18-1 victory. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Bolts recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Ashanti Pagan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jordyn Duran was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Leena Sakal, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Davenport always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Davenport's record is now 3-4. As for Ridge Community, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
