The Poudre Community Academy Warriors had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 33-18 bruising from Ascent Classical Academy on Wednesday. Poudre Community Academy has not had much luck with Ascent Classical Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Poudre Community Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joslyn Schaeffer. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.
Poudre Community Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Ascent Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Poudre Community Academy will be playing at home against Wellington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wellington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Monday. As for Ascent Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Mile High Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
