When it comes to explaining why Discovery Canyon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Meghan Storch. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Storch has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Hulse, who scored 11 points.
Among those leading the charge was Delanie Mcmullen, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Peterson, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
Discovery Canyon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Palmer Ridge, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.
Discovery Canyon will head out on the road to take on Air Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 63.76 points so far this season, Air Academy's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Discovery Canyon better be ready for a challenge. As for Palmer Ridge, they will be playing at home against Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmer Ridge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
