The Enderlin Eagles pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-55 to Ellendale. Enderlin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ellendale apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Enderlin lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aspyn Schlecht. Despite the final result, she scored 22 points. Eve Chamberlin was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Enderlin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Ellendale, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Enderlin will square off against Hillsboro/Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ellendale, they will head out on the road to face off against Wyndmere at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
