Faith Lutheran has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  take on the Green Valley Gators at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. Faith Lutheran will be strutting in after a  victory while Green Valley will be coming in after a  loss.
 Last Tuesday, Faith Lutheran earned  a  7-4 win over Bishop Gorman. The  victory was just what Faith Lutheran needed coming off of  an  8-2 defeat in their prior  match.
  Jersie McDonald spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Shaylee Ghadery, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ava Mariani, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Green Valley faced Arbor View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Green Valley fell victim to a  rough 15-4 loss at the hands of Arbor View. Green Valley's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
  Lyla Baxter was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with a  home run and a  stolen base.
 Faith Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Green Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
 Faith Lutheran might still be hurting after the  10-0 defeat they got from Green Valley  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023. Can Faith Lutheran avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
