Dover has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Fort Lee Bridgemen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Dover is ranked 263rd, while Fort Lee is ranked 250th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 44-6, which was the final score in Dover's tilt against Dwight Morrow on Friday. Dover was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, Fort Lee can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Kearny 56-7 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fort Lee.
Lenny Colon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 197 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Colon really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Senatore, who threw for 58 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Fort Lee, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Dover was dealt a bruising 43-6 defeat at the hands of Fort Lee when the teams last played back in September of 2021. Thankfully for Dover, Dean Park (who rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
