Alcuin was beaten by Wylie Prep Academy 64-37 on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Alcuin in their matchups with Wylie Prep Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Alcuin still got an impressive performance from Jake Walker, who scored 20 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Cuenca-Martinez, who scored six points along with two blocks.
Alcuin struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Wylie Prep Academy pulled down 19 offensive rebounds.
Riley Peterson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wylie Prep Academy, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aidan Steward, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Alcuin has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Wylie Prep Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.
