The Wolfe City Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Celeste Blue Devils at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Wolfe City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday.
Wolfe City scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They breezed by Trenton at home to the tune of 71-25. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-8.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wolfe City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jarrett Tisdale, who scored 16 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tisdale has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cavan Armstrong, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Celeste was able to grind out a solid victory over Whitewright on Friday, taking the game 38-29. The win made it back-to-back wins for Celeste.
Wolfe City's record now sits at 9-22. Celeste's record now sits at 13-15.
Wolfe City beat Celeste 41-31 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wolfe City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
