Kaedan Gregory was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aidan Miller, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Marion came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Tazewell on Friday, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Scarlet Hurricanes have posted since May 14, 2024.
Corbin Bade made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bade was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Owen Parnell, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
Marion was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Graham's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Marion, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12-1.
