The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sunrise Mountain, who took down 63rd ranked Greenway, 56-21. Chase Cord threw for 299 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 36 yards during the win.
Peoria extended the longest winning streak in III Section I this week by beating Sierra Linda, 42-10. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
The Mustangs' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Corey Brown chipped in 156 yards. Garrett Weissinger helped Sunrise Mountain's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 67 yards.

Weissinger made the biggest impact on defense this week as James Carter's team beat Greenway. The 6-foot-0 junior racked up 2 sacks.
6-foot-1 quarterback Kade Greenhalgh of KJ Anthony's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,079. He has also thrown 14 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Darius Aguirre. The Peoria star has 33 catches for 628 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Peoria takes on Dysart. As it stands, the Panthers are in first, while the Demons are in sixth.
Independence fell to Cactus 59-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
