Jacksonville fell victim to Catholic's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Rockets, falling 44-0. While losing is never fun, Jacksonville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas football rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Catholic is ranked 21st).
Meanwhile, Searcy was beaten by Benton 50-20 on Friday.
This is the second loss in a row for Jacksonville and nudges their season record down to 2-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 0.0 points per game. As for Searcy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Jacksonville was dealt a bruising 55-12 loss at the hands of Searcy when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Jacksonville, Demetrick Johnson jr (who rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also picked up 60 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
