Basketball Recap: Chattanooga Prep Piles Up the Points Against Howard Tech

Chattanooga Prep lost to Howard Tech back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Chattanooga Prep Sentinels simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers 74-35. The Sentinels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chattanooga Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Demarion Bowman, who went 6 of 7 en route to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Jones, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 15 points and five boards.

Chattanooga Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Chattanooga Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Howard Tech, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Chattanooga Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-62 win against Cleveland on the 28th. As for Howard Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-40 defeat against Sebring on the 28th.
